Challenge 193... 'Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day' - so 'DOGS' is the theme

Many thanks for your entries last week.... Mardi Gras not the most popular subject but those who entered did some superb works of art.

Whilst many were enjoying masked festivities I had my own wonderful weekend away. I went to the Stitches Trade Show at the NEC where I completed another fabulous Tim Holtz workshop - new photo opposite and more on my other blog.
He is a delightful and very talented man as you all know but this time he had the lovely Dyan Reaveley with him so I got to play with some of her new inks and stencils.... wow... is all I can say.

I met lots of super folks including Joanna Sheen, Lyndsay Mason, Jo Channon, Andy Skinner, the lovely ickle Leonie, Hels, Clare Curd, Amy and Marion... I must have missed someone along the way... oh yes our lovely Wendie Rhodes and Dawn Wheeler too how could I forget Bendy Wendie.
I saw some great demos and some wonderful new products....watch your wallets folks as you will want lots of new stuff both here and overseas.

Now onto the challenge itself......
Now for a complete change this week..... today is... believe it or not, 'DOG BISCUIT APPRECIATION DAY'..... but we will just celebrate DOGS - what a very odd day to celebrate if you ask me but hey ho each to their own....
So anything with a dog or two would be appreciated.

Challenge 192 - MARDI GRAS

Many thanks for the fabulous collection of entries last week... wow over 100 again.... delighted with them all. Welcome to all the newbies too.
I hope you all had a super day with flowers, cards and maybe even chocolates or dinner out.... boo hoo not for me as my man is still overseas... we will make up for it later when he gets home lol.
This week we have a couple of things to celebrate....21st February is MARDI GRAS and also Shrove Tuesday which heralds the start of Lent. Mmm pancakes anyone.. yes please.
So something or someone connected to MARDI GRAS.... would be lovely to see.
A super traditional Masked ball springs to mind.
Mmm I would love to be in New Orleans at Mardi Gras... one for the list.
OR get dressed up in fancy dress and a mask and eat Pancakes..... sounds good to me.
As a lot of you know I love masks and collect them... have lots on the walls in the hallway of the house here and also one overseas in the house there.

Challenge 191 - 'Have a Heart'

Many thanks for your super entries last week... lots again.

So - we had wear red last week and this week we have 'Have a Heart' which of course could be red again as Valentine's Day is very close indeedy. Of course you could have purple hearts if you like... noone says they have to be red do they???
So, if you haven't made a Valentine's card already for your loved one now is your chance to do so before it is too late.

Mine was made a week or so ago and mailed out in good time... so hope it arrives ok on the day or before hopefully.

Challenge 190..... Wear Red Day

Many thanks for your lovely Scottish entries last week... some lovely ones there.
Hope your Burns night was wonderful and you enjoyed the ceremony and the food and drink of course.
This week we are into February.... yes really... can you believe where this year is going??? so fast.
In case you didn't know National Wear Red day is celebrated on February 3rd.. this is in honour of the Heart Foundation and heart health so I challenge you to show someone WEARING RED - can be male, female, child or even animal (red coat on dog.... they need their coats right now as UK is freezing everywhere lol ).
Just read that Wear Red day takes place on the 24th February in Scotland how very odd lol.
